We love email

Why our relationship with email is long term

By Amy Dron – Inbotiqa, Corporate Communications

We love email, and it’s with good reason that email is the number one business communication channel. Aside from being more business-appropriate than less formal methods of communication, email is popular and persistent because it’s so useful, and there are three key elements which make it so.

It’s flexible

The flexibility of email means anything can be put into it. From one-line instructions to document and image attachments, hyperlinks to complex contract negotiations. Email can convey them all, even all of them in one email.

It’s universally used

Everyone uses email. Employees, bosses, shareholders, suppliers, customers, counterparties, regulators, you name it. One of the first things we are assigned when joining a company is an email address. When we sign-up to newsletters or log-in to services, we use our email address. While there are numerous collaboration and workflow tools, we usually need to revert to email at some point, for external communications with clients, for example. Likewise, not everyone is signed-up to the various messenger and chat services – but everyone is on email.

It’s official

Email is an official method of communication. Official instructions can be given via email and anything that is official always ends up in email.

Hence our enduring relationship with email. However, as with many long-term relationships, circumstances change and needs progress, meaning issues arise. The modern-day relationship of business people with email is a case in point, and it’s a relationship that becomes more challenging as the volumes of email continue to increase.

At Inbotiqa, we love email. Our simple philosophy is to work with email to retain all of its benefits while solving all the pain points, rather than fighting email or trying to move to other channels that cause additional work or aren’t as useful.

It’s possible to resolve the issues around allocating, tracking and managing tasks. It’s possible to ensure no email is missed and to achieve 100% execution. It’s possible to tame formerly unmanageable volumes of emails received into shared mailboxes. And it’s possible to achieve all of this within email, while also reducing risk, boosting productivity, cutting costs, improving customer service and optimising communication.

To extend the relationship analogy further, there are no other fish in the sea that provide all the benefits of email. At Inbotiqa, we embrace and optimise email so you can focus on work, not email. We love email. We are Intelligent Business Email.
